Folks, this is what my personal library consists of these days. Striving for a minimalist lifestyle, the only books that I keep and own are the ones that I have the most passion for. The ones that I would rate five stars. The ones that I would happily read and re-read over and over again. I'm a book lover. I love books, and I love to read. But that doesn't mean that I have to hoard books. I will just be making more use of my local library.

Shelfie | January 2016
As promised, here is a updated shelfie picture of my library. I did a major unhauling of books back in December and my shelves are now looking rather depleted as a result. However, that does not upset me in the least as all of the books on my shelves are now books that I have already read and now cherish as personal favorites, or they are books that I have not yet read but find myself incredibly excited to read and explore. My library is smaller now, but it is more personal as a result.
And guys, a lot of these fantasy series that I will be reading this year are trilogies and series ... so if I enjoy them enough that I would like to own them, then my bookshelves will begin to fill up once more. I'm just going to be very selective about the books that I purchase.

September 2015 Updated Library Tour And Shelfie
Since my last library tour and shelfie I have bought a lot of books, unhauled a lot of books, reorganized, and redesigned, so here is a updated batch of pictures for you guys! In a attempt to make my library feel more warm and inviting I placed a map of middle earth above my bookshelves as well as placed this beautiful map of middle earth tapestry on my wall. Getting my nerd on as well as bringing a nice flow to the room, its a win win. Next I would like to get a small electric potbelly stove for the room as well as possibly find a small reading chair to create a reading nook complete with a small end table and tabletop lamp. Maybe a small little fuzzy area rug. Heaven.
And here is a closeup on my shelves. Difficult to fit the entire bookcase in the shot but I wanted to get closer so you can better see the titles.
Updated book count: My last book count was 239 physical books, and 282 book titles (book titles because my Barnes and Noble editions are often multiple books in one). I now own 231 physical books and 302 titles.

August 2015 Shelfie
As you can see my bookshelves are filling in a little more as time goes by. I do not however have the shelves organized to my satisfaction. Every time that I purchase more books the shelves require being re-organized, and some shelves just look ... awkward. The middle bookcase is for the most part left as it is, only the bottom shelf is not entirely satisfactory. The bookcase on the right is satisfactory except for the fourth shelf, second to the bottom. This is currently my 'odd height' books and it doesn't exactly look neat and orderly. And the third bookcase, the bookcase on the far left ... this is my odds and ends bookcase at the moment. This is where the "It doesn't fit in with any of my other books" books go ... the perfectionist in me is screaming inside.
Now that you guys saw that all too real scary side of me ...
It will get there ... I will make all the books match if it kills me!

Shelfie Of July 2015
As promised, here are some updated Sheflie pictures for the month of July. A lot of changes have been made since my last shelfie was posted. Most notably I have added a third bookshelf to my library, which at the moment doesn't contain a large quantity of books but knowing me, that soon will not be a issue. I moved all of my bookshelves over to accommodate this third bookshelf, which means that all bookshelves also received a re-organization. I also purged a lot of books from my library while sorting through them, and I added a large quantity of books to it as well over the last few weeks.
Guys, I also did a book count for you! In physical books I own 239 books compared to my last book count of 219 back in March. A lot of my books from the Barnes and Noble leather bound collection are combinations of several books in one, so if counting these I actually own over 282 books.

A Tour Of My Library In Pictures
This is the very first sight that greets me when I walk through my front door. My library is located right off of my living-room, so my bookshelves are always visible from that room. It is a small space, being longer then it is wide, but it works well for my needs. The back half being my personal in home library, and the front half working as my art studio.
Right hand side of the room.
And left hand side, featuring my art desk, and all of my art supplies being either tucked underneath the desk, or in the storage on the right hand side.
This is one of my favorite rooms in my house. Books, and Art, what could be better?
